WE WILL ADD PHOTOS AND INFORMATION BUT WILL USE THIS SPECIAL PAGE.

Fire Ant Hill

A "Regular" Ant Hill

I think this may be a Mockingbird feather.  It could also be a hawk feather of some kind.      WARNING:  It is illegal to possess any part of certain birds, including raptors and migratory birds. The best advice is to leave all birds, feathers and remains alone.  If you intend to possess eagle, hawk or owl feathers or remains, check with state and federal wildlife people first for a permit.  This should apply to all birds unless you find differently in writing from wildlife authorities.

A Bluejay Feather?  The same warnings apply.

Grass Seed

Some vines spread almost like something from a science fiction movie!

Moss and St. augustine grass contend for the same sandy soil!

Live Oak Root System

More Live Oak Root

The grape-looking thing is a seed for this vine.

From time to time we'll add a few things that technically don't belong within our parameters of being in the yard or being visible from the yard.

This lake is visible from my yard but I had to get closer to photograph some of its wonders.

Going my way?

This is possibly a beaver lodge although it may be a Muskrat lodge.  I positively identified a Beaver in this area.  It was a road kill and the broad, leather-like, tail is unlike anything on any other animal.  It was a positive identification.

Ok, this IS visible from my yard!  Have you ever seen a crescent-type moon where you saw the faint outline of the rest of the moon?  It's called earthshine!  It is the result of reflected sunlight from the Earth.
